This unique training offers strategies for navigating behaviours of concern with learners of all ages, in any environment.

Hearing 'No' is a part of life. This short talk will help build skills to calmly accept 'No' and build resilience.

This 13-hour workshop equips educators and caregivers to implement the Picture Exchange Communication System® (PECS®), an evidence-based communication method. Participants will learn the six PECS phases, create effective learning environments, and transition to other communication methods like speech or AAC devices. Through demonstrations and hands-on practice, attendees gain practical skills to teach functional communication.

This two-day training focuses on creating lessons and activities to promote communication throughout the day. We guide you in refining your PECS implementation and discuss current challenges you have experienced within the six phases. As you acquire teaching strategies on expanding vocabulary and syntax combined with new ideas for materials, we will discuss how to increase communication opportunities for your learner.

Learn teaching strategies to help learners successfully transition from PECS to a Speech Generating Device, or to teach specific communication skills to refine current SGD use.

This workshop is a must for parents, caregivers and professionals working and/or living with people who have complex communication needs.
